Dr. Pepper Originated in Waco, Texas in 1880

Dr Pepper is a carbonated soft drink. It was created in the 1880s by pharmacist Charles Alderton in Waco, Texas, and first served around 1885. Dr Pepper was first nationally marketed in the United States in 1904, and is now also sold in Europe, Asia, North and South America.

 

It is located in Waco, Texas and is the home of the Nation's oldest major soft drink. The Museum is housed in the 1906 Artesian Manufacturing and Bottling Company building located in downtown Waco. The 100 year-old building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as the “Home of Dr Pepper.”
